No frills approach, just due process.
Uncovering core processes and essential usability.
When embarking upon any programming project our first step is to crystalize the highest resolution schematic of the task at hand. Working together with the client, our planners will filter the creative input from end users, administrators and managemnt to form a cohesive and ultra-effective plan of attack. This method more rapidly lluminates the core processes and systems required and conversely, weeds out any functions and systems not essential to usability or utimately, cost savings. When developing applications, our focus group strategy is based on a casual "observational and query" manner that allows our team to pin-point usability log-jams and functions that users require but may not be able to communicate to the development team.
Solid blueprinting, deliverables and phase implementation methods.
When tackling large development projects, taking time to smell the roses is a luxury that is best left to flourists and large over-staffed web design companies. Our approach is strict in purpose but fluid and intuitive in design and implementation. Look-ahead scope development and planning is essential when implementing critical systems and relying on packaged solutions can be a very expensive and frustrating journey. Our specialty is delivering effective, efficient and easy to use systems taylored to meet your business systems requirements perfectly.
As preliminary code is implemented, the "real" program is being constructed in parallel to the mockups. Usability and obvious security problems are handled at this stage through user testing, trial data flow runs and deliberate testing of potential problems in security and infrastructure. Phase 1 of any project is scope and planning in order to prepare to "plan" the actual application. This is tantamount to a double edit by two different professionals and helps to offer more seemless experiences to the users and their clients as well. Phase 2 is usually the actual planning stage where schematics and html mockups are presented and explored though skeleton usability methods. After all core processes are approved and documented as such, phase 3 can then begin. Phase 3 is the actual coding phase including the launch of version 1 beta of the current project for live testing. Phase 4 of most development projects are chiefly centered around security improvement and usabilty tweaks.
Each phase of development is completed with sign-offs and a clear document on the next phase of implementation from initial design, to the finished product.
Countering scope creep and other development devils.
Most large and some even small programming developments are prone to scope creep and because of this menace, our initial planning and project query is especially strict and thorough. Many projects have been launched by companies with nothing but good intentions, only to end up draining the company technology budget and producing nothing more than extra work for everyone on staff and maybe even lay-offs. The most important aspect of any project development is initial planning and identifying pof core processes pertinent only to the business processes proposed. Most businesses are enthusiastic about launching thier new busness efforts and do not take into account that opening an online store, developing an inventory system or tying businesses together with data automation is similar in scope to designing and constructing an addition to a bricks and morter business. The same checks and balance proceedure that is present in building code approval and related construction infrastructure is utilized to ensure that these development devils are exorsized in the initial planning stages or phase 1.
Corporate image development and branding design
We create corporate logos, ad campaigns, product packaging, new channels, magazine covers, content templates and other promotional or marketing materials. Keeping your graphic design and branding consistent across all customer touch-points is the ultimate goal of our development team. Designing mission critical user based web applications is one thing, but creating the interactive interface is another. Incorporating existing branding and image development into the interface is very important but not possible if the design aspect is disparate from the programming aspect. Every system, whether a branding exercise or new product channel developement, starts with design. Our design team is experienced in both graphic design and user interface programming and can easily asimilate and in most cases enhance a brand throughout the development process. Launching new products lines requires much more technical promotion and marketing media types than ever before and being on target with all advertising and branding campaigns is crucial.
